Fissure Sealants
Fissure sealants are a preventative measure to protect teeth from decay in the un-brushable grooves.
These deep grooves are mainly on the biting surfaces of premolar and molar teeth. Grooves and pits can also form on the side of these teeth.
The fissure sealant is a thin runny plastic coating that flows into the deep grooves and bonds on to the tooth, sealing up a place that can’t be brushed or flossed.
Best of all fissure sealants help protect the teeth from decay and cost much less than fillings.
